Benefits of NATA Membership

Career Advancement

Joining NATA is a positive step in the advancement of your career!

Code of Ethics

All new and renewing NATA members sign a Code of Ethics.

NATA holds a conference every year throughout North America. Check out the list of Conferences from 1941 to the present.

Conference First Timers Program

The conference has been our most exciting venue and opportunity to welcome our NATA First Timers, with special sessions, a Mentor program and First Timers reception.

Conference Scholarships

NATA Regular & Senior Members can receive scholarship support who could not otherwise afford to attend the annual conference.

Continuing Education

NATA is an organization committed to the education and support of its members. Colleagues are available to help each other with advice, guidance, and expertise at a moment's notice. NATA provides exceptional training for our membership with continuing educational opportunities, classes, conferences, and upcoming webinars. We also offer a certification program in which you can earn a Fellow in Temple Administration certificate.

Leadership Development

Once a year, the NATA Board invites future leaders to attend a board meeting and learn about NATA.

Mentor Programs

For those NATA members who need support, NATA can match you up with someone with the relevant experience and skills.

Member-to-Member Support

NATA's Member-to-Member support program draws on the knowledge and experience of peer colleagues who are available to offer support when a NATA member is facing a difficult or challenging situation in their workplace. This might include issues with leadership, boards, colleagues, members or supervisors; contract/employment negotiations; navigating tricky situations; or issues that may be affecting work/life balance. While NATA cannot offer legal advice, we can often point someone in the right direction.

As a NATA member, you will be invited to participate in NATA-NET, a Yammer network. NATA-NET is an online collaborative workspace that is made up of only NATA members. It is somewhat like Facebook with a news feed where you are able to follow people and join groups. However, the primary purpose is to engage with NATA colleagues. You can share files, tag people, read other conversations that may be useful and it has a robust search function.

Regional Groups

Check out the Regional groups throughout North America. We highly recommend that NATA members join a local group.
